Privacy Policy Statement

Summary of Privacy Policy:

No information is gathered by this recipe web site,
owned by (DeerLake Designs LLC).

If you only read the angel stories, no more information is collected than is typically collected in any server logs by web sites in general.

If you contribute to the Angel Realm site, we are nearly publishing every word you put into your angel story. If you write something, assume that it will be retained forever. This includes articles, stories and blog pages. Some limited exceptions are described below.

Publishing on Angel Realm

Simply visiting the web site does not expose your identity publicly (but see private logging below).

When you send us any story for edit, you are publishing a document. This is a public act, and you are identified publicly with your story. You will be identified as the author.

Identification of an author

When you publish a story, you may not be logged in.

If you are logged in, you will be identified by your user name. This may be your real name if you so choose, or you may choose to publish under unknown author. Whatever user name you selected when you created your account is fine.

If you have not logged in, you will be identified by your network IP address. This is a series of four numbers which identifies the Internet address from which you are contacting Angel Realm. Depending on your connection, this number may be traceable only to a large Internet service provider, or specifically to your school, place of business, or home. It may be possible that the origin of this IP address could be used in conjunction with any interests you express implicitly or explicitly by sending us your poems and stories for editing.

It may be either difficult or easy for a motivated individual to connect your network IP address with your real-life identity. Therefore if you are very concerned about privacy, you may wish to not log in.

When using a false IP address, you will not be available to the public except in cases of abuse, including vandalism of our servers by you or by another user with the same IP address. In all cases, your IP address will be stored on the our servers and can be seen by Angel Realm's server administrators and by users who have been granted "Admin" access. Your IP address, and its connection to any usernames that share it may be released under certain circumstances (see below).

If you use a company mail server from home or telecommute and use a DSL or cable Internet connection, it is likely to be very easy for your employer to identify your IP address and find all of your IP based connections you have made. Using a user name is a better way of preserving your privacy in any situation. However, remember to log out or disconnect yourself after each session. Avoid allowing others to use your identity.

Passwords

Many aspects of the Angel Realm's community interactions depend on the reputation and respect that is built up through a history of valued contributions from you. User passwords are the only guarantee of the integrity of a user's contribution history. All users are encouraged to select strong passwords and to never share them with anyone else. No one shall knowingly expose the password of another user to public release for any reason, directly or indirectly.

Private logging

Every time you visit a web page, you send a lot of information to my web server. Most web servers routinely maintain access logs with a portion of this information, which can be used to get an overall picture of what pages are popular, what other sites link to this one, and what web browsers people are using. It is not the intention of the Angel Realm to use this information.
These logs are used to produce the site statistics pages; the raw log data is not made public, and is normally discarded after about two months.

Policy on release of data derived from page logs

It is the policy of Angel Realm that identifiable data collected in the server logs, or through our records in the database via the log files, may be released to Angel Realm system administrators.

In response to a valid subpoena or other compulsory request from law enforcement.
To Angel Realm or Steven Rapelje, his/her legal counsel, or his/her designee, when necessary for investigation of abuse complaints. Where the information pertains to page views generated by a spider or webbot
Where the user has been miss behaving in a disruptive way, data may be released to assist in the targeting of IP blocks, or to assist in the formulation of a complaints to relevant Internet Service Providers. Where it is reasonably found to be necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of Angel Realm, its users or the any one.

Angel Realm policy does not permit public distribution of such information under any circumstances, except for as described above.

Sharing information with third parties

Except where otherwise specified, all text added to Angel Realm angel stories is fully available for us to use and reuse.
Angel Realm will not sell or share private information, such as email addresses, with third parties, unless hell freezes over.

Security of information

Angel Realm makes no guarantee against unauthorized access to the information you provide. This information may be available to anyone with access to Angel Realm web site or there servers. A partial list of those people can not be found in any list.

E-mail, mailing lists and IRC

E-mail,
You may provide your e-mail address in your contact Angel Realm, and enable other logged-in users to send email to you thru Angel Realm. Your address will not be revealed to them unless you give it to them in a response.

If you do not provide an email address, you will not be able to reset your password if you forget it. Huh, However, you may contact one of the nice people at Angel Realm or their server administrators to enter a new mail address.

You can remove your own email address from your contacts with us if you know how.

Mailing lists

If you subscribe to Deerlake mailing list, your address will never be exposed to any other subscriber. The list archives of Angel Realm's mailing lists are not public, and your address may never have any problems when contacting Angel Realm. E-Mails are usually not deleted or modified, but are always kept as safe as possible.

Information email addresses

Some email addresses may be trusted by Angel Realm.
Mail to Steven or Becca is private, Your addresses will be kept private.

IRC

IRC channels are not officially part of Angel Realm web site. By participating in an IRC channel, your IP address may be exposed to others using the IRC. Different IRC channels have different policies on whether logs may be published.

User data

Data on users, such as the times at which they visited and the number of stories submitted will not be made publicly available.

Removal of user accounts

Deletion of content

Removing text from Angel Realm does not permanently delete your submitted story. In normal stories, anyone can look at your story online forever. If your story is "deleted", any visitor to Angel Realm even the "administrator" may be able to see all the copies you have submitted. Information can be permanently deleted by those people with access to my servers, but there is no guarantee this will happen except in response to legal mum boe jumm bo action.

PRIVACY POLICY

We don't collect any of your identifying personal information.

That is it, we don't collect or use any information about you in any way.

If you click off of our site onto third party advertising, then all bets are off. Yes most other sites will collect information and use that information.

What is Personal Information:

Information that is specific to an individual is personal information. Such as user's name, address, email, telephone number, credit card information, etc. Other personal information includes general physical location, date of birth, gender, internet preferences, and etc.

At this Angel web site, we do not collect or store any of your personal information.
And would never share information with any third party.
